It has been said that one of the primary goals of art is to make people think and feel. And, while some art simply exists and does not really evoke any great things, some does just that. This is often the case with any form of art that may in some circles or ways be considered controversial. So, it is no doubt that it is a common reaction to the nude human form.
Perhaps it is a painting, or a drawing or even photography or a video, but for many people the nude human body brings about some from of reaction, whether it be positive or negative.
For me, it is a matter of how the work is designed that matters. In essence, the body naturally lends itself to art as that it is beautiful in all shapes, sizes and colors. The curves and the ways light rolls off of the skin is outstanding in and of itself. And, if done right, there is nothing inappropriate about it.
It’s finally here!!!
As you may know by now, in my photography work I love the chance to work with alternative models. While that genre of modeling does cover a lot of area, I’m specifically referring to those who feature tattoos and piercings, vibrant colored hair and perhaps something of a goth, emo or punk style.
That being the case, a site I work with called Twisted Angels just published it’s 2013 wall calendar. I’m so excited by the results considering it’s the first time the site’s calendar has featured more than 13 photos. The count is actually 25, the cover, one main shot for each month and one small one too.
Anyway, if you’re so inclined to check out a preview, you can do so below.
Please keep in mind that some of these photos would fall into the NSFW category and you may not want them to be readily accessible by children. Nudity can be and often is artistic and beautiful but is also often hard to explain to your boss of an inquisitive young child.

As you might know my now…
my of my photography work focuses on what you might call “goth pics.” Now while that can be a bit of an oversimplified take on the subject matter, it does hold some credibility.
When working with models, I tend to seek out those with various body modifications or just an alternative style like those who might consider themselves punk, emo or yes, even goth.
I think part of my reason for doing so it the unique factor models working in this genre seem to posses. So, I decided to include a few images that I have captured over tha last few years for your viewing pleasure.
Once in a while I like to experiment, specially when I have aopportunity to do so at no cost. Such was the case with a recent photo book promotion. I had the chance to make an 8×8 hardcover book and pretty much customize it to my specifications. That being said, I did so today. It is 100% black and white or spot color in nature and I think it might just have turned out pretty nice. Feel free to check it out at the link below:
As a photographer who does a lot of this sort of work, some people tend to ask me what exactly would be classified as boudoir photography . Well, it’s a difficult question to answer. So, here’s a nice little resource that should give you a better idea about this particular style.
