Your Own Prison (A Poem)

You are in your own prison
You are the warden, you have the key
But you are there by choice
And not by decree

Abstract Artwork

Here are a few pieces I’ve been asked to share with you that are the work of an anonymous artist I have met. I hope to have more from this person to share later.

The one on the left is entitled “Juggler” and the one on the right is named “Man Juggling” and both are pen and ink on paper with a digital element.

Creativity From the Subconscious

There is little doubt that much of our creative energy flows from things that sit below the surface and linger in our subconscious. The only problem can be noticing this and learning how to access it all.

A new project by August Tatantino is trying to help writers reach into that part of themselves and pull from it for inspiration.

He is calling it an Intuitive Writing Prompt Card Deck and you can read more about it or contribute to his effort on his kickstarter page.

As a writer, I know that once in a while we get blocked and can really use something to get us back to putting the pen to the page or the text to the screen. It’s nice to know someone is trying to help people solve that issue.
