Like Me (another original poem)

I wrote this one yesterday and yes, I get the irony of hoping you like, share, comment…

Like Me

Like me, heart me
No matter what the cost
Makes no difference
That my decency is lost

Watch me, listen to me
See the hurt and blood and more
Keep coming back
To see what’s in store

Follow me, friend me
No matter what the cost
It matters very little
That my humanity is lost

Love me, crave me
My life is one big stunt
I’ll show and give you anything
Your attention is all I want

It’s All Wrong (A Poem)

My newest poem, it’s a bit dark but sometimes we need to get things out.

It’s All Wrong

Loathe everything you are
Because it’s all wrong
Under the instruction
Of the misguided throngs

Judge yourself
Though “you shall not judge”
Encage yourself
In the mind’s own grudge

They say not to bother at all
With the superficial side
But this is the path
On which they stride

Hide your words
Hide your thoughts
Listen only
To what you’ve been taught

Hope Dream Art by the Outstanding Jennifer Burton

I previously put up a poem by a talented young lady Jennifer Burton.  But, writing is sort of a side thing for her at the moment as opposed to her primary focus as a visual artist.

Her style is often whimsical in nature and makes use of a variety of colors for a warm and engaging feel. Here are a few samples of her work.

Pleasant Surprise

Rainbow Rain

Lucky Elephant

You should stop by her Etsy store Hope Dream Art to take a peek at her work.
